Stephanie earned her Master’s Degree from Indiana University with training focused on multi-systemic approaches. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor. Her passion focuses on helping others success in their dreams. Stephanie served seven years as an adjunct professor at a local college’s Master’s Program with Marriage and Family Therapy as the focus. She is an Approved American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Supervisor and supervises aspiring therapists. She believes in constant growth both professionally and personally. Through her experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist she has assisted many individuals and families through their life circumstances.

Donna earned her bachelors and master’s degrees from Indiana University in education. Because she believes strongly in early intervention, First Steps was a perfect match! Donna has been a part of the First Steps program since 1998. She began as a developmental therapist, has/continues to participate on multiple committees/boards, and currently serves as Director of FS services at Hand In Hand. Her passion, skill sets and knowledge are the perfect combination to encourage other therapists, who touch the lives of so many, to continue to promote the excellency of the First Steps program.

Anastacia Bruce received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne, and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Ball State University. Anastacia is both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Anastacia is also pursuing credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist with the Association for Play Therapy. Anastacia is a certified AutPlay Therapist. Anastacia is trained in Level One Theraplay as well as Group and Trauma adaptations. Anastacia utilizes theoretical approaches to restore health and normalcy to families in need. Anastacia is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, The Association for Play Therapy and The Theraplay Institute. Anastacia has utilized her skills and experience as a Limited Term Lecturer and site supervisor for graduate level courses in her field with Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Kelly Korreck

Kelly joined Hand In Hand in December of 2018. She earned her Bachelor’s in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Purdue University. She pursued a career in sales for the past 10 years but is now working back in the medical field doing what she loves.

Kelly is a high energy individual who is goal oriented, and loves spending time with her family and friends. Kelly is looking forward to growing with Hand in Hand and making a difference in our clients lives.

Denise joined Hand in Hand in October 2018 as an Office Administrator. She graduated Ross Medical Education in 2010 with honors in Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration and has spent the past 9 years working in the medical field. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, but mostly playing with her 3 grandchildren.

Kat (Kaitlyn) Wetzel  graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University in 2017 with a Bachelor of General Studies degree. Kat previously earned her AS in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish in 2015. Kat married her husband, Zach, in October 2018. They are the proud parents of Bob, a 9 year old Maine-coon and rag-doll hybrid feline.

Marilyn was raised in a small community with an emphasis on the importance of family and faith. She has been married for over 45 years and has been blessed with a family of her own. She became part of the Hand In Hand family in 2010, where she is able to continue to be a part of a family atmosphere. Marilyn finds reward in helping people and making new friends along the way.

Dayna joined Hand In Hand as support staff. Dayna has studied Music Education at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She finds fulfillment in her church and assisting to lead worship. Dayna enjoys spending quality time with her husband and young son. Dayna also dedicates her time teaching Music Theory to children in the Fort Wayne area.

Kristin earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Cairn University in Philadelphia with specialization in professional counseling from a Christian perspective. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her passion is to create a safe therapeutic relationship in which healing, insight and growth occur. Kristin utilizes integrative therapeutic approaches to help adolescents, adults, couples and groups overcome challenges and restore hope. She has extensive experience as a leader and trainer in nonprofit settings. Prior to counseling, Kristin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and practiced as a Certified Public Accountant.

Kristi is a Master’s level intern Counselor. Kristi enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Kristi has experience working with trauma and conduct-disorders with youth since 2013. Through this experience, she has gained insight into how trauma impacts a person’s body, mind, and spirit, and has developed skills that can lead individuals out of maladaptive and painful patterns. Kristi attended the Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner training at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development through Texas Christian University and enjoys using her TBRI knowledge with children (and even adults!) to explore new ways of understanding how connection and attachment influence behavior. She considers it a privilege to bear compassionate witness to the stories her clients share and feels honored to join them as they courageously press towards growth and wholeness.

Nicole has worked in the mental health field for over 18 years, earning her Masters in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Her passion in therapy is to partner with her clients to support a relational foundation that can facilitate growth, empower strengths and expand coping strategies for all of life’s joys and challenges. Nicole has over 11 years of private practice experience, in addition to certification in Reflective Supervision and specialized training in Birth – 5 dyadic therapy and early intervention. She enjoys training and consultation services to further promote learning and expanding best practices in her field and community. It is her privilege to work with clients of all ages, with an emphasis on attachment, interpersonal relationships and communication. Nicole has treated a wide variety of issues in therapy, including but not limited to, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, FASD, marital struggles, parenting challenges and process disorders. She utilizes a multi-modal approach to meet each client(s) unique needs, and she is a firm believer that there is always hope for a better tomorrow.

Hannah is an intern, earning her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. Hannah is specializing in child and adolescent therapy. Hannah has worked in different human service positions such as a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor and a high school English teacher and has grown in her understanding, compassion and empathy through these experiences. She believes that all individuals are unique and life experiences are equally unique. Hannah greatly values a comfortable, trustworthy and safe relationship with clients and understands that this is the foundation for effective growth. In Hannah’s approach to therapy, clients are able to be the authors of their own story and directly collaborate with the therapist on the journey to healing.

Kaitlin Weikart received her Master’s in Social Work from Saint Louis University and Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois. Kaitlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is pursuing credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist with the Association for Play Therapy. She has extensive play therapy training, including work with sand tray therapy and Child Parent Relationship Therapy. Her passion is to work with and support children, teens and parents as they navigate through life. Kaitlin enjoys spending time with her husband and rescue dog, trying new restaurants and traveling.

Kayla graduated from Huntington University with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Previously, she attended Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science. Kayla loves helping children of all abilities and coordinating with families to reach goals which are valued in their daily lives. Kayla strives to provide evidence-based, family-centered and (last but certainly not least) FUN occupational therapy to all her clients! In her free time, Kayla enjoys traveling and going on adventures with loved ones, staying active, and reading a good book!

Corinna is a certified occupational therapist. Corinna received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. She received her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in movement and sports science with a minor in human development and family studies. From a young age Corinna has had a passion for pediatrics and individuals with special needs. She loves helping children and families flourish and reach their goals. In her free time, she enjoys coaching gymnastics, outdoor activities, crafts, and spending time with friends and family.

Brandi is a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant who graduated from Brown Mackie College in July 2017. Witnessing the many milestones First Steps helped her daughter to achieve was one of the driving factors that encouraged her to pursue a career as a COTA. She strives to provide the quality service and support that her family received during those critical first years of her daughter’s life. In her free time, Brandi enjoys spending time with her two kids, watching Disney movies, online shopping with her Mom, and eating take-out food.

Kayla received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2014. Since graduation she has gained experience with the pediatric population working as a registered behavioral technician. She earned her Master’s of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati in 2019. Kayla enjoys helping children learn language and has taken a special interest in Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC). Her passion is helping children, especially those with complex communication needs, find their voice. She has knowledge and experience working with children on the autism spectrum and other complex communication needs during her graduate school internships. She strives help each family become more comfortable with facilitating language and communication in their everyday activities. In her free time she enjoys taking jeep rides with her husband and hanging out with her friends and family.

Mallory received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from IPFW in 2014. Since graduation she has worked and gained experience as a speech-language pathologist assistant and a registered behavioral technician in the pediatric population. She earned her Master’s of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in 2018. Mallory enjoys working with the birth to preschool population as the children grow and development so much during that time. She believes these children soak up every little bit during that time and it’s her goal to provide them with positive and educational experiences that they will keep with them for the rest of their lives. Mallory will work hard to provide your family with resources and activities to work on your child’s developmental milestones in between therapy sessions. Mallory is experiencing this specific population first hand at home with her son and newborn daughter! Mallory loves spending time cuddling her babies, practicing yoga, reading, and being outside with her family and golden retrievers!
