Donna earned her bachelors and master's degrees from Indiana University in education. Because she believes strongly in early intervention, First Steps was a perfect match! Donna has been a part of the First Steps program since 1998. She began as a developmental therapist, has/continues to participate on multiple committees/boards, and currently serves as Director of FS services at Hand In Hand. Her passion, skill sets and knowledge are the perfect combination to encourage other therapists, who touch the lives of so many, to continue to promote the excellency of the First Steps program.

Darlene was raised in a large family in a small community. She has been married for over 40 years and has been blessed with a wonderful family. For over 30 years Dar and her husband operated a portrait photography business which granted Dar the opportunity to interact with many kind and lovely people. In 2011 Dar joined the Hand in Hand family. She enjoys the opportunity to work closely with others. It is her family and church family is where Dar loves to invest her time and energy.

Anastacia Bruce received her Master's Degree in Counseling from Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne, and Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Ball State University. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Anastacia utilizes systemic theoretical approaches to restore health and normalcy to families in need. Specifically, she identifies with an experiential approach to counseling that allows flexibility and growth in the counseling process. Anastacia has professional experience working with families with special needs children, separation and divorce as well as individuals on a path of self-growth. Anastacia is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Anastacia has utilized her skills and experience as a Limited Term Lecturer for graduate level courses in her field through Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne. Stephanie served seven years as an adjunct professor at a local college's Master's Program with Marriage and Family Therapy as the focus. She is an Approved American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Supervisor and supervises aspiring therapists. She believes in constant growth both professionally and personally. Through her experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist she has assisted many individuals and families through their life circumstances.

Lidija is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Services with a minor degree in both Psychology and Sociology from Purdue University and her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. Lidija has a warm, relaxed, and comfortable approach to counseling, and utilizes a variety of therapeutic orientations according to client's individual needs. Lidija works with individuals, families and couples from a strength-based and affirming perspective on a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, unresolved emotional difficulties, parenting, relationship concerns, grief and loss, self-empowerment and multiple other concerns. Lidija currently serves as the clinical director for the IPFW Counselor Education Program and is a Pre-Clinical Fellow Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

With a 25 year history in leadership and motivation, she helps clients uncover the gifts they have within, as well as develop new skills and use both to live a meaningful and purpose-filled life. Colleen has worked with clients with trauma-laden histories and helped them process those painful experiences. Annalee is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. Annalee completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Huntington University and completed her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Evangelical Seminary in Myerstown, PA. Annalee is also employed as an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department of Huntington University and at Grace and Truth Counseling Services in Huntington, IN. Annalee works with families, couples, adults, adolescents, and children. Her specialty areas include anxiety, depression, sexual addiction, and identity and self-esteem work. She is also trained and certified to use Prepare/Enrich, the leading relationship inventory and skill-building program for couples, as well as CORE Communication, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and Thrive Sphere. She has also completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Julia Lange earned her Master's Degree from University of St. Augustine in 2006. She is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist with focus and passion for pediatrics. She is a feeding therapist and certified in Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding approach lead by STAR Center, Handwriting Without Tears, and Level One Intensive Mentorship program with specialty in Sensory Processing Disorder treatment, and Integrated Listening System (iLs). Julia has experience in working with children with Autism through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis therapeutic approaches and collaborates with client's ABA facilities in order to utilize current behavior strategies, as well as make recommendations to improve client's participation during ABA sessions. Julia enjoyed experiencing a variety of cultures and meeting new people. She is involved in Human Engineers, Inc., a nonprofit organization that travels to indigenous regions to provide prosthetic and orthotics to children and adults who cannot afford medical care. She is also involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters in Fort Wayne. During her free time Julia enjoys traveling to new places, spending time with her dogs and family.

Renee is certified in Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding approach lead by STAR Center, which is an effective way to address problematic feeding behaviors by allowing the child to interact with food in a playful, non-stressful way. Renee is passionate about working with not only the child, but collaborating with the family for the greater success in developmental therapy.

Chris graduated with his doctorate in occupational therapy from Huntington University. Chris is interested in playing, behavior modification, autism, sensory processing, having fun, emotional regulation, and developing compensatory strategies to enable kids to thrive in their natural environments. Chris is expanding his knowledge of SOS feeding. Prior to becoming an occupational therapist Chris worked in group homes with individuals with intellectual disabilities and residential facilities for teenagers who are at risk. Chris is published in the Journal of Hand Therapy. When not working Chris enjoys spending time with his family, reading, gardening, exercising, and taking walks along the beaches of lake Michigan.

Nicole earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University and her Bachelors of Science in both Athletic Training and Exercise Science and a Minor in Spanish from Ball State University. She also is a certified Educator of Infant Massage. Nicole has a passion for continuing education and therefore enjoys mentoring students working towards becoming physical rehabilitation professionals. She also has a strong passion for working with children and their families. She aspires to find the “Just Right” challenge for each child and their family by learning about each person's goals, strengths, and challenges and what is most important to them.

Allison earned her Master's degree at University of Toledo in Speech-Language Pathology. Allison is nationally certified with Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Allison is certified in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol. Allison's passion is with pediatric and school-aged children. She has most focus and knowledge with speech articulation, developmental language delay, cognitive-communication and social-language. She is certified in Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding approach lead by STAR Center, which is an effective way to address problematic feeding behaviors by allowing the child to interact with food in a playful, non-stressful way. Allison also has knowledge and experience with children who are on the autism spectrum, including an intensive autism camp during her graduate school program and continuing into her current caseload.
