In our efforts at HIH to provide a safe environment for your child, we have made some changes as a result of the Coronavirus:

In an effort to join the nation in limiting the exposure and spread of the COVID-19, we have made the decision to close the physical facility for therapy effective Friday March 20, 2020 at 5:00 pm. However, we are excited to have the opportunity to continue to service you through Teletherapy.

Because we understand the importance of the services our therapists provide, desire to continue therapeutic progress, and avoid any regression in progress that has been made, we feel blessed to be able to continue our services through teletherapy.

Important Information regarding Clinic Therapies:
  • Most insurances are covering teletherapy, and those that are not currently covering teletherapy are changing daily. We encourage every client to call their insurance provider to confirm their coverage. This is a service we typically do for you; however, given the circumstances we will not be able to do this for all of our clients in a timely manner. If your insurance does not cover it today, call again tomorrow- it may have changed.
  • If your insurance does not provide teletherapy and you decide to continue with services, you will be responsible for all charges.
  • If your insurance does cover teletherapy, your charges (co-pays) will be the same as what you have been paying for in-office visits.
  • We are grateful that Medicaid IS now covering speech therapy services. While Medicaid is currently not covering all teletherapy, we are very hopeful this will soon change. Therefore, even if your insurance does not currently cover teletherapy, please complete our consent form so that once it is approved we can continue with therapy services as soon as possible, with no delay in paperwork. If your insurance is Medicaid, you do NOT need to complete the payment portion of the Teletherapy Consent and Treatment Form.
  • Steps to enroll with Hand In Hand for Teletherapy:
  1. Complete the Teletherapy Consent and Payment Form. This form can be found by clicking the Blue Button below labeled “Teletherapy Consent and Payment Form” When complete select the “Submit” button. We have found this operation to work best using Internet Explorer. This function is not available on a phone.
  2. Enroll in Clocktree. Once we receive the Consent and payment Form we will submit the e-mail you provide to out HIPPAA compliant platform, called Clocktree. You will be sent an “invitation” to join Clocktree. You will be walked through the simple process to set up your account. Please do this right away as your therapist will not be able to reach you if you do not.
  3. Participate in Therapy. Please log in to your Clocktree account a few minutes prior to your scheduled session. When your therapist reaches out to you to begin the therapy session, your devise will ring and you will be shown a prompt to answer. You are ready to begin your session!

We understand, that for some, this mode of therapy is not the preferred mode. We are so grateful for each of you being willing to go out of your comfort zone and working with us through this process. As this virus has hit America, it has been an amazing reminder to us that ultimately, we are all in this together and we will get through this together. This virus and its effects are ugly, but it is absolutely bringing out so much good in everybody and we have been a witness to this beauty every day this past week as we have been working with all of you!
